Price of first brush in remaining two brushes =x

Then price of second brush=1.4x(according to question)

The total price of 20 brushes=20*15=300

The total price of 18 brushes=18*12=216

Then price of remaining 2 brushes= 300-216=84

Now,

Price of first brush +price of second brush =84

x + 1.4x = 84

2.4x=84

x=84/2.4

x=35

Then 

Price of first brush is x = 35

Price of second brush 1.4x=1.4 * 35=49

Answer : first brush is $35 and second brush is $49.
